The wine itinerary (Acuto, Anagni, Paliano, Piglio, Serrone)

Around Scalambra the Cesanese territories open up as if they were a clover, completely different soil and exposure giving the wine different aromas and scents. A unique grape variety that of Cesanese Docg, already from its cluster so designed as to look like an angel's wing, with small and round ruby red berries. The neat vineyards divided into small plots scattered throughout the territory, mean that wineries have various crus and can therefore produce various labels, so it becomes an endless discovery to visit a winery, where the variety of wines will amaze you and leave you with unique emotions of both the palate and the eyes.

Route of exploration: a weekend to learn about wine

Day One - Already from the highway it is clear that Anagni is not only history and the Middle Ages for which it is known throughout the world, surrounded as it is by vineyards and cultivated countryside. Its historic center enclosed in a Roman-era city wall slowly opens onto a medieval village that seems to have stood still in time. Tasting some of the local cuisine accompanied by the fantastic Cesanese wine is an unforgettable experience. After seeing the places of the Caietani and hearing stories of Popes, we go to visit the stronghold of the Colonna family, Paliano where we find other businesses other flavors and other specialties. Alleys, small squares and the fort that dominates it leave even more breathless.
Day Two - Piglio Serrone Acuto, a continuous discovery of wineries that clearly put a lot of effort into carrying out with professionalism and competence this continuous effort that is the production of Cesanese wine.
